Rev. Fr. LEE Hei Lung Joseph Physics Scholarship

The Rev. Fr. Lee Hei Lung Joseph Physics Scholarship was established in 2024 in memory of Rev. Fr. Lee Hei-lung Joseph.

Fr. Lee is hailed as the best Physics teacher ever. He has deeply impressed and influenced his students by his self-learning SL Spirit. In addition to his teaching, he actively encouraged students to engage in various scientific extracurricular activities, including joint school science exhibitions, photography societies, and boosted their appreciation of good music with HiFi combo.

It is the fervent wish of a group of Fr. Lee's former students to establish this scholarship as a tribute to this great teacher and also as a thanksgiving contribution to their alma mater. The scholarship aims to inspire the younger generation to pursue the field of Physics and to continue Fr. Lee's legacy of supporting brilliant students.

Recipients of the scholarship should demonstrate outstanding performance in Physics in Secondary 4 or Secondary 5 or achieve Level 5** in HKDSE Physics. In addition to academic excellence, recipients should preferably also exhibit qualities such as participation and leadership in extracurricular activities related to Science, particularly Physics.

KWAN Chi-ming, Ken Memorial Scholarship

Kwan Chi-ming, Ken, a 1989 Upper 6 alumnus and an occupational therapist, devoted his love and concern towards the well-being of Salesian fathers. This scholarship was established for those students who have entered into the two Rehabilitation Sciences degree programmes – BSc (Hons) Occupational Therapy or BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy offered by Hong Kong Polytechnic University.

Rev. Fr. Foster Award

The Fr. Foster Award honors the late Rev. Fr. Foster, who was a teacher and the 8th Principal and Rector of the school. It is given to the student with the highest overall academic average in S4, S5 and S6.

Rev. Fr. P. Deane Best Graduate Award

The Most Outstanding Student's Name and his HKDSE Result

St. Louis Old Boys' Association Academic Award

St. Louis Old Boys' Association has established this scholarship to encourage our students to strive for better performance in public examinations. The recipient should obtain Level 5** in at least one subject in the HKDSE.

TANG Lap-chuen Memorial Scholarship

This scholarship was established to commemorate the late alumnus Mr. TANG Lap-chuen. The recipient should obtain Level 5** in HKDSE Chinese Language.

SO Shun-tin Education Scholarship

The SO Shun-tin Education Scholarship was established to commemorate the late Mr. SO Shun-tin, the beloved father of one of our alumni. Five recipients of good conduct and having outstanding academic performance are selected.

Rev. Fr. CHENG Hoi-hong Memorial Prize

The Rev. Fr. CHENG Hoi-hong Memorial Prize was established in 2007 in memory of Rev. Fr. CHENG Hoi-hong. The scholarship is awarded to a secondary one student who has the highest total score in three subjects, namely Chinese History, Geography and History.

Fr. Bernard TOHILL Memorial Scholarship

Fr. Bernard TOHILL Memorial Scholarship was established in 2011. It was initiated by a group of old boys of St. Louis School who graduated in 1956 and was sponsored by WU Yee-sun Charitable Foundation Limited in order to memorize Fr. Bernard TOHILL, a previous Principal of St. Louis. The Scholarship is given to those who are studying in Secondary 4 and have ranked the 5th or above in their previous Secondary 3 examination. It encourages students to obtain more Other Learning Experiences (OLE) outside the school in order to widen their horizons and help them enroll into universities.

The Project Rainbow LAU Tai-kwan, James Scholarship

To commemorate the late alumnus Dr. LAU Tai-kwan who sacrificed his life in the battle against SARS and to commend and promote the spirit of selfless dedication and sterling professionalism, the Project Rainbow LAU Tai-kwan, James Scholarship has been established with donations raised by Project Rainbow. Recipients should be our S6 graduates who will study Medicine in local universities. 

LEUNG Kit-sun, Simon Memorial Scholarship for Art

LEUNG Kit-sun, Simon (1963-1995) was a deeply cherished old boy of the St. Louis School. 

Simon had been the chairman of the drama club and his performance had won numerous awards for the School. To him, art can turn adversities in life into blessings, as it expresses the positive values in life in ways that touch our hearts. His old classmates think that the best way to remember Simon is to set up a scholarship for the benefits of students who wish to pursue higher education in the field of art. The scholarship will be awarded to students who are accepted by tertiary institutions for degree study in such subjects. The award of the scholarship is on an ex gratia and discretionary basis.
